Reinventing Television Episode 2: Bre Pettis of Make was a great show
I saw an article in the Make blog about a web cast called Reinventing Television. Bre Pettis was a featured guest so I had to check it out. The show was great. Jonny Goldstein is on to something. I marked my calendar and hope to interact with all the upcoming shows.
The web cast is done with video cams for the host, Jonny Goldstein, and the featured guest. You call in to hear the audio which may seem strange but there is a reason, more later. The show also has live chat so you can type in comments and questions.
The show is very interactive. You can type questions in the chat window or you and ask them live via your phone. That is why you need to call in on an 800 number. I used Skype and found the audio to be very clear.
Bre was great. I expected him to be a real stand up guy and he was. He answered all the questions even though he had a tight schedule. He will be up much of the night preparing his podcast which comes out tomorrow.
Another guest was named Carl, I got in just at the end of his time so I can not say much about that part of the show. I believe Carl was well received and I am very embarrassed to say that I did not record his last name. He will probably not be happy with this review, sorry Carl.
I signed on as Ludicrosity after having some problems getting on initially. You need to enter a code to connect and Skype would only emit short duration keypad tones which seemed to cause problems. After several tries I was finally successful. None of the problems were related to the show or the delivery method.
Stumble it!

Thanks for stopping by! Glad you could get in with Skype. Next week we’re going to have people from http://geekentertainment.tv
They are a lot of fun too. Their specialty is doing irreverent interviews with web 2.0 bubble people, and they do it with style and humor.
