Experiments with web technology

Here is a chuck of my ESATInformer admin SPAM report for today. Click the small picture below for the full size version of the SPAM if you can not read the text. USA is the number one SPAM sender and has been for as long as I can remember. I have some more details about this report after the jump.

The report shows that about 36% of the spam I receive comes from the USA. This is after the SMTP Grey list blocks so the actual percentage may be higher. You can see that 227 delivery attempts were blocked by SMTP Grey list which means they were rejected before delivery, a nice feature of XWall.

This data is from my home domain and the user email address have been blocked out. You may notice that “Local Sender” sent 111 messages. This is my RSS reader that emails the articles from the feeds I subscribe to. Note that this is not detected as spam, the bar is all green. Spam shows up red on these graphs.
